George "Wildman" Barnhill-Rock Lake Peak to the left-Stay to the right on race day!
Today my good buddy George stopped by and we were able to put in a few hours on the Vaquero course. I have been lying low the last week with some displaced ribs that have been driving me crazy. I had to walk part of my run with the XC team on Wednesday because of back pain and was getting pretty frustrated with the whole deal. This run was exactly what I needed. I was able to test out my newly placed ribs and the new pair of Pearl Izumi Peak XC shoes that arrived in the mail a few days ago. Preliminary review-loved them. At 9 oz., complete with a rock protection plate they were pure trail running bliss-undoubtedly will help me "run like an animal."
