The new year is nearly upon us. With that comes the annual scramble to line up the year's race/adventure schedule. Here is the plan for this next year:
1/28- Kahtoola Snowshoe 50k
4- Ultraspire Camp
6/2- Poky 50k
6/23- Black Hills 100
8/4- Elk Horn 50
9/28- Bear 100
Throw in a sweet 15th anniversary trip to Maui and it looks like I'm booked. It's gonna be fun!
Started running again yesterday and all the aches and pains from a few weeks ago came back with a vengeance. Time for some serious rehab. In the meantime I'll leave you with a photo of the results of "No Shave November" Rockin' the serious nose mullet-Wyoming style.
Update: One of my students today said that her friend asked who the homeless man was at the wrestling matches this last weekend. I guess it was time for the beard to go after all!
The Vaquero Races will be opening this weekend. If those of you who rolled over could confirm with me that you are still interested in coming back and running would email me I would appreciate it! The road is fixed and barring another high-water spring we should be back to business as usual. Merry Christmas!

I'm interested in registering for the El Vaquero Loco 2012 (50K). I was a little confused, since the blog says registration is on UltraSignUp on 12/20 at midnight (last year?) and the latest post says this weekend. Just trying to get a spot since I'm planning a cross-country trip for this and another ultra in the summer. Thanks!

I have never done it before, but excited to run in My Mountains!! I have run many 50K's before.

I have been injured and will have at least 4 weeks of no running. I think I have to bow out this year. Wondering about options.
