A source of inspiration

I'm kind of a quote guy. I'm always looking for inspirational words to reflect on. When we take time to open our eyes and get outside ourselves we see that there are so many "ordinary" people doing amazing things. I think that's what draws me to ultras. A little inspiration from Mother Teresa-because being a better runner does not have to be mutually exclusive of being the best neighbor, spouse, friend, employee, or parent we can be. Look around and be inspired.

People are often unreasonable, illogical,
And self-centered;
Forgive them anyway.
If you are kind, people may accuse you
Of selfish, ulterior motives;
Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some
False friends and some true enemies;
Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and frank;
People may cheat you;
Be honest and frank anyway.

What you spend years building,
someone could destroy overnight;
Build anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness,
they may be jealous;
Be happy anyway.

The good you do today,
people will often forget tomorrow;
Do good anyway.

Give the world the best you have,
and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you've got anyway.

You see, in the final analysis
it is between you and God
It was never between you and them anyway.

Good quotes bro. Saw your still getting hammered with snow. better than getting your ankle hammered. ;)

How was Syllamo? What did you think of Mt. View and that area? That's the one area I didn't get to scout when I went back looking at land.

Loved it. The running was way better and the people much nicer than I ever could have imagined. We are already planning to go back next year. Get that ankle healed up.
