More Vaquero Photos

Thanks to Sean Cuniff-our sole competitor from New Mexico. Here are some photos from last years race. I keep looking at them to remind myself that someday all this snow will melt!

I am beginning to wonder if it will ever melt. We may have to go up to the higher elevations and build steps in the snow for the competitors. The 'firn' snow will be there until next winter. After some research I did find a dirt trail outside of idaho falls for training.

What's the details? Would you be able to get away this week and check it out? We have spring break but it doesn't look like we'll be traveling much. Let me know.

I emailed you, short version, I have tuesday and wednesday off. Supposedly, at least 12 miles of hilly single track with some two track. No snow over there. Sad when we need to drive over an hour just for 12 miles of dirt; so sick of the cold white stuff, though.

Oh yeahh, I forgot. You might know the area since you went to school in Rexburg. But, also a race in mid april around the Menan Butte volcanoes. Only 5 miles though, maybe you know if there is more over there or anything worth it as well.
