The Teton Crest Trail

Yesterday my good friend Mark Bodamer drove down from Spokane for a little adventure in the Tetons. Mark and I met when at Hagg Lake 50k when we both lived in Oregon. We nearly solved all the worlds problems on our runs in the Tillamook Forest and Mark inspired me with his stories of running 100's. I was able to add a chapter to our good times on the trail with Leland Barker and Dave Atlas. It's not everyday that you can run 39 miles with 3-hundred mile champions. (Leland- Wasatch 1999 & 2001, Mark-Mohican 1993, Dave-Superior 1995).

So you finally did it. What did you think? The Tetons are awesome.

I was surprised at how runnable the whole thing was. I thought the trail would be a little more rugged but it mostly was buffed smooth by all the tourists. It got really crowded toward the end.

Hey Ty,
Browning told me last night that you're not coming to Waldo. He said you gave him some lame excuse about building a house. I think you're just scared of me now after my W in Canada. It's okay to be scared. Don't worry, though, I'll be at the Teton races and I'm guaranteed to whoop up on you there.
