Winter Continues!


Winter continues as cold as ever here in Star Valley. This photo was taken by one of my runners after a mid-afternoon tempo run. It was -15 in Afton this morning and -20 to -30 in other parts of the valley. I have managed to get in most of my training with a combination of runs on snowshoes, roads, treadmills, and with my track team. A bit of a cold and a niggle in my right hammy has slowed me a bit but I have continued to train in preparation for my trip to Seattle next month for a "training camp" in preparation for 3 Days of Syllamo. Stay warm out there!

Man, I'll never forget living in Wyoming and running in those temps. When it got to 30 below is when I figured going outside wasn't much fun. Now, the negative single digits are cold enough for me, you can keep the negative teens and twenties. Grow yourself a full beard, buddy. It helps. Brrrr...
